Stour Vale offers local, high-quality Secondary Initial Teacher Training for the Black Country and surrounding areas. Coupled with exceptionally high levels of bespoke support, our pathways to a PGCE qualification with QTS have a proven track record of excellence. We pride ourselves on getting to know our trainees on an individual basis whilst supporting them throughout their training; from pre-application to successfully gaining employment.

In conjunction with our accredited university partners, we offer a range of courses for Secondary trainees across The Black Country, South Staffordshire, South Shropshire and North Worcestershire.

Our courses allow trainees to develop their understanding and expertise through a blend of classroom experience, practice, and research. Trainees have placements in two of our local partnership schools where they spend the majority of their training year.

Taught sessions are timetabled to complement work in school and our trainees receive a blended approach of support and input from both university experts and serving teachers.
