Summerhill School’s application to join Stour Vale approved
We are delighted to share the news that the Regional Director has approved Summerhill School’s application to academise and join Stour Vale. Summerhill share our ethos of putting children and young people at the heart of decision-making and they are fully committed to our approach of secured autonomy. We have worked in close partnership with Summerhill throughout the stakeholder consultation and application process and we look forward to Summerhill staff and governors becoming increasingly involved in collaboration across Stour Vale as the legal process progresses. Summerhill School is both firmly rooted in and highly regarded by its local community and we are sure that their decision to join Stour Vale will greatly enhance our collective capacity for continuous improvement.
