Ofsted Success at Olive Hill Primary School
Congratulations to Olive Hill Primary School on the outcome of their recent Ofsted inspection. Olive Hill’s report card has now been published, and we are delighted to be able to share the news that the school were graded at the Strong standard for Attendance and Behaviour and Inclusion, as well as meeting the Expected standard in the other five evaluation areas. The inspection team celebrated the children’s behaviour in particular, noting that, ‘Behaviour in classrooms and around school is excellent’ and that ‘Pupils are polite and welcoming. They work and play together well in an atmosphere of mutual respect.’ Olive Hill’s inclusive culture was also praised, with inspectors concluding that, ‘The school has a highly inclusive culture. Leaders make every effort to ensure all pupils achieve and thrive.’ From the notification call on the first Monday of the summer term, right through the two days of inspection, the children were fantastic. They happily and confidently talked with inspectors about why they are so proud of their school. Well done to the whole staff and governor team, who work tirelessly every day to create the culture where children flourish.
Megan Walters, Acting Head of School, comments: ‘We are incredibly proud that the Ofsted report celebrates the dedication of our staff, children and families in creating a school community where children are respectful, confident and enthusiastic learners. The report reflects the warm and caring relationships that underpin our school, alongside the high expectations that help every child feel safe and inspired to achieve their best. We are delighted that they recognised our engaging curriculum, inclusive ethos and the many opportunities provided for pupils to grow both academically and personally.’
